- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, communications engineering, computer science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience in program or project management.
- Experience with modem or mobile phone telephony and data connectivity.
- 3 years of people management experience.
- Experience in carrier requirements, network infrastructure, knowledgeable in modem standards, protocols, and testing.
- Experience in mobile wireless technologies including LTE (4G) and NR (5G).
- Experience in modem log analysis and modem metrics design.
- Ability to deal with ambiguity from proposal, solutions to execution and collaborate with stakeholders across different functions and time zones to manage change and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ability to identify modem issues with an Engineering team together and contribute technical judgment.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You’re equally comfortable explaining your team’s analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

In this role, you will collaborate with the Android Insight team to design, plan, perform, and manage the Android and Pixel programs, Android Beta program, and Trusted Tester program. We work with developers to identify issues. We analyze issues, prioritize, and triage top issues for improving the solved rate toward the best quality. We identify user insight data including discussions, survey feedback, issues, and metrics, consolidate the data to be information such as sentiment and quality report to be quality guidance and signals for improving user experience, reducing pose-release issues and user complaints of Android and Pixel phones.
The Google Pixel team focuses on designing and delivering the world’s most helpful mobile experience. The team works on shaping the future of Pixel devices and services through some of the most advanced designs, techniques, products, and experiences in consumer electronics. This includes bringing together the best of Google’s artificial intelligence, software, and hardware to build global smartphones and create transformative experiences for users across the world.
Responsibilities
- Create the strategy for the Pixel program to improve the coverages of carrier networks and requirements.
- Prioritize, analyze, and drive modem issues to be clarified and solved.
- Estimate the risks and readiness of Pixel modem from issues and metrics.
- Collaborate with Pixel Modem Wireless team and Modem Test Engineer team to address modem issues and develop modem metrics.
- Secure the Pixel quality bar and carry out continuous process improvement.
