The Role
Our team is looking for a specialist for the global development and implementation of Labware Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). The objective is to support the design, configuring, customization, and implementation of the system for select locations within the SCEM business focused in Asia (South Korea, Taiwan, Japan). The person will create and maintain procedures and ensure that the LIMS meets all business and operational requirements.
In this role you will

• Support LIMS global implementation and administration for the SCEM business
• Design, configure, customize, and implement the LIMS
• Collaborate with global labs to ensure LIMS meets all business and operational requirements
• Establish Standard Operating Procedures, User Guides, and other relevant documentation for the LIMS for Asia
• Manage effective data exchange between LIMS and all lab instruments and other associated systems customizing code and parsing scripts code to accommodate data exchange
• Support laboratory operations to include, but not limited to, systems analysis, process & procedure creation, customized reports, modifications, barcode/printer management, and upkeep of systems administration tasks. Managing user requests, maintaining a validated state, processing access requests, and working with the business to troubleshoot issues
• Provide LIMS training to staffs and customers.
• Coordinate with the BU and IT on initiatives and continuous improvement projects
• Upon completion of LIMS global implementation, transition to:
• Executing continuous process improvements for the SCEM Business (i.e. LIMS improvements, lab efficiency, etc)
• Local support and maintenance of LIMS
  

Traits we believe make a strong candidate

• BS or MS in computer science, analytical chemistry, science or engineering related field with equivalent work experience
• Preferably 1-2 years Labware LIMS experience
• Preferably 1 years working experience (BS)/1 years working experience (MS) in a laboratory environment
• Knowledge of LIMS configuration/administration and SQL Scripting Language, including:
• LIMS module and environment implementation and development
• Configuration and development of visual workflows or functions
• Instrument and Standard and Reagent configuration
• Experience in writing subroutines and automation scripts in LIMS Basic and/or Java
• Knowledge and experience of Client-Server Architecture
• Basic SQL database knowledge (tables, fields) and SQL Queries, preferably in a cloud database environment (Microsoft Azure)
• User account management
• Proficient in troubleshooting, error resolution and debugging
• Working knowledge of chemistry laboratory operations and experience with change control management
• Strong communication and organizing skills, be able to work on multiple tasks/projects in parallel
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment to meet client and internal demands under tight timelines is a must
• Multilingual – English, Korean
