The Role:

Entegris is seeking an experienced Research Scientist in selective etch product and Cu PERR cleaning product development for the semiconductor industry. The core purpose will be to develop, optimize, and drive product through to manufacturing process a chemical solution for Selective etch and Post Etch Residue Removal applications. This role is in Hsinchu, Taiwan.

In this role you will:

• On time delivery of the formulation solutions to selective etch and wet clean projects to enable Entegris to win process of record at customers.
• Development and optimization for efficient workflows and/or metrics to meet project requirements.
• Meet internal and external customer deliverables for projects.
• Understanding of mechanism of developed products.
• Material characterization using analytical instruments.
  
  

Traits we believe make a strong candidate:

• A Ph.D. in Chemistry, or other science background
• Knowledge and industry experience in organic and/or inorganic chemistry formulation development for cleans or selective etches.
• 3+ years’ work experience in a chemical R&D or Semiconductor manufacturing environment.
• Solution Chemistry experience working on solvent selection, metal corrosion prevention, metal complexation (Ligand design and selection), oxidation/reduction reactions, acid-base interactions, etc.…
• Experience with FTIR, XPS, SEM or TEM, or other characterization techniques a plus
• Experience with applicable quality tools such as design of experiments, FMEA’s, cause and effect diagrams, SPC, etc. is a plus
• Strong Expertise in chemical analysis related to blended cleans and advanced deposition materials
• Strong English communication skills and familiarity with developing communication plans
• Ability to operate in a global environment, team player
• Knowledge of proper safe handling/disposal of chemicals and ability to maintain a clean and safe workspace
