Job Description

The NPI manager manages directly a team of Test and product engineers focusing on the new product developments of the BL-RFP. He / She ensures proper alignment of the tasks and work packages executed by the engineers with the relevant project managers in the BL in cooperation with the TE and PE teams in Europe. Next he/she ensures the team has the proper competences to execute by training & selective hiring. By this he/she ensures together with his global peers that the way-of-working and methodology for the assigned tasks is further developed. For the team he/she enables that a proper environment with access to development tools (HW & SW) is established as well as links to the relevant supporting organizations. He/she also manages actively the transition to the TEPE GMI team at the end of the NPI phase and actively manages the relation with the local Kaohsiung organization

Job Responsibilities

· Takes people-to-project allocation decisions in close cooperation with the project managers and other business stakeholders and grows his team according needs

· Ensures that team competence and attitude remains aligned with technology, product and project roadmap

· Bridge expectations & competences between the different locations and between the production oriented Kaohsiung location and NPI focus needed.

· Manage a team of Product and Test Engineers, which:

· Performs Test Method development anticipating on new product/operational requirements striving for standardization & flexibility (resource allocation)

· Alignment of basic test methodology / strategy for the product (part) in line with BL Test Strategy

· Develops (part-of) test program including HW development in close cooperation with other TE team members in the project.

· Ensure timely availability of test-programs for qualification and production with the proper test program maturity & quality

· Define & performs IC characterization and qualification as part of a larger, multicultural and multisite team as an element of product development

· Set-up plans for Safe Launch, yield expectations and test content in collaboration with other teams and based on diffusion, assembly & test process characteristics and in line with product quality requirements.

· Hands-over actively to sustaining teams, ensuring proper documentation & training

· Supports customer design-in efforts, complaint handling and next generation design perfection and specification

Requirements

· M.Sc degree in Electrical Engineering or similar

· 7-10 years experience in Semicondustor

· 3-5 years experience in management,

· Experience working in a multicultural environment, understanding cultural difference, able to make the proper bridges in maximizing the opportunities inherently available due to the large diversity in people.

· Experience with highly demanding customer environment

· Knowledge of frontend and backend semiconductor processes

· Proper understanding of the Test Engineering and Product Engineering work

· Proper understanding of project management

· Fluent in English

· Excellent communication skills

· Preferably track record of people management

· Change driver, able to balance multiple stakeholders, strong execution driven.
