POSITION : Senior Product Engineer (NPI)

LOCATION:Kaohsiung, Taiwan

The Senior Product Engineer is positioned in a central role for the development of new products. The role has a focus on data analytics, statistics and data science and requires frequent interaction with other disciplines, such as Test Engineering, IC Validation, IC Design, Front-End Process, Packaging, Quality, Marketing and Manufacturing.

The responsibilities include:

• Ensure industrial producibility during all stages of NPI and volume ramp-up
• Reliability qualification according AEC-Q100
• IC characterization according AEC-Q003
• Ensure compliance with the product datasheet and functional safety
• Test program release for different milestones during NPI and in SE phase
• In-depth ATE test data analytics, limits and guard-banding
• Safe launch and volume ramp-up incl. reduction of test stages
• Support quality incidents and customer complaints
• Drive strategic improvements and innovation projects, e.g. in data science

Your team

Business line RF processing is leading in mixed signal processors for car infotainment, personal health and car radar applications. We lead the industry in state of the art solutions, using advanced CMOS technologies. You will be working in an international Product Engineering team with close connections to other disciplines and manufacturing sites. At BL RFP, Product Engineering is involved in new product introduction projects from the very beginning, having strong focus on the bring-up phase until product release. In addition, Product Engineering also supports safe-launch and volume ramp-up, as well as quality items throughout the product lifecycle.

Your profile

The role requires deep core competences in Product Engineering. In addition, the Senior Product Engineer needs to act as catalyst for neighboring competences, such as IC Design, Test Engineering and IC Validation. Strong communication skills, sense of ownership, curiosity beyond boundaries, team oriented but able to work independently are personal characteristics key to success in this role.

You have:

• MsC in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• >5 years of experience in semiconductor Product or Test Engineering, IC Design, IC Validation, Package Technology, Quality Engineering or equivalent
• Experiences in new product introduction or volume ramp-up
• Knowledge and experience of reliability qualification and IC characterization
• Strong background in statistics; Six Sigma certification preferred
• Knowledge and hands-on experience of complex data analytics
• Skills in data science applications, e.g. machine learning
• Skills in programming languages like Python, R, C++
• Experiences using state of the art Semiconductor test data analytics tools, e.g. Exensio Yield
• Understanding of RADAR/mmWave ICs and test solutions is a plus
• Understanding of advanced semiconductor package technology is a plus
• Experiences with IC validation or similar, using lab bench equipment, is a plus
