About This Team
The lululemon Liaison Office (LLO) team is dedicated to ensuring our components are produced of the highest quality, delivered when we need them, and manufactured with partners who share our commitment to elevating the world. Not only do we manage the production of great products, we also build great relationships.
A Day In The Life
- Be familiar with the textile manufacturing process, implement robust strategy and SOPs for calculating both fabric/trim process losses and bring consistency and transparency in raw materials costing
- Maintain “should be” process standards and ensure that our vendors operate on best-in-class standards
- Study raw materials and components for new processes and production technologies to support raw materials development and sourcing team
- Continuously identify and evaluate improvement opportunities on raw materials standards and work with fabric & trims vendors to establish best in class standards through raw materials engineering
- Be in the vendor kitchen regularly and work on continuous improvements around manufacturing processes
- Track and evaluate industry trends, machinery processes, new technologies to drive the best processes for fabrics and trims
- Ensure improvements are sustained through the introduction of work instructions, quality standards and performance measurement
- Track all data of efficiency improvement initiatives and keep cross-functional partners updated
- A bachelor’s degree in textile engineering to equivalent is preferred
- 5 years of experience working closely & building relationships with off-shore fabric and trim manufacturers
- You are the expert textile engineer, preferably in apparel fabric manufacturing, who clearly understand raw materials processes and standards
- You are a multi-task master and can handle multiple projects working with a variety of cross-functional partners
- You are confident in your strengths, always open to challenges and prefer discussing face to face
- MS Excel and PowerPoint are your best friend, and you love to have fun and sweat!
