About the role...
ALP, an innovative firm specializing in logistic property development, is seeking Procurement Manager to develop and improve the procurement functions for the group. This role involves direct interaction with function heads from construction, automation, and information technology as well as external parties such as suppliers, vendors, and other third parties. You will manage, develop and optimize the performance of the procurement team for our group’s operations in Taiwan.
What you will do...
- Lead the procurement team in developing and executing annual procurement strategies that align with the company’s goals, objectives, and budget with a focus on optimizing cost, quality, and supplier relationships.
- Identify and source reliable suppliers, both domestically and internationally, ensuring a competitive supply base to meet the company’s requirements.
- Establish the end-to-end procurement process and manage it in SAP MM Module, including issuing inquiries, evaluating quotations, negotiating prices and terms, and making recommendations to stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with internal departments to understand their procurement needs, specifications, and timelines, and provide strategic sourcing solutions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, monitor the procurement tender process, and address any issues to ensure consistency and reliability of supplies.
- Monitor market trends, industry developments, and technological advancements relevant to procurement, and integrate insights into procurement strategies.
- Implement best practices in procurement, including vendor assessment, risk management, and contract management, ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.
- Prepare and present regular procurement reports to senior management, highlighting key performance indicators, cost savings, and procurement-related insights.
- Stay adaptable to dynamic changes in the business landscape and adjust procurement strategies accordingly to address emerging challenges and opportunities.

What skills are required...
- Bachelor’s Degree in construction/supply chain/logistics/business management or other relevant field is required; an advanced degree is preferred.
- A Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in the procurement field, and supplier management, with a strong track record of successfully managing complex procurement projects.
- Extensive experience in inquiry issuance, quotation evaluation, and price negotiation, preferably in international construction or automation supplies industries.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for collaborating with internal stakeholders and engaging in strong supplier relationships.
- Solid knowledge of procurement methodologies, contract management, and supplier performance assessment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the capacity to make data-driven decisions and create strategic plans to support the business.
- Mandarin and English oral & written communication skills will be a must.
