Project description:OpenStack based Cloud OS Development

Job description:

Development and deployment relating to OpenStack/Cloud OS, Software Defined Storage, Virtualization and Continuous Delivery. And, we are also looking for

(1) VM, bare metal, and container resource provisioning and network isolation technology development in the same cloud

(2) hetergeneous resource provisioning like GPU in cloud

(3) Edge cloud design, especially on the orchestration and automatic deployment.

(4) Workflow and multi-tenant based framework design and implementation

(5) OpenNESS and Akraino study and enhance on edge side

(6) SD-WAN traffic engineering

1.雲端異質資源供裝平台,藉由OpenStack與Kubernetes 技術整合,同時提供虛擬機、裸機及容器的資源管理與部署

2 .開發多租戶管理架構,以tenant isolation方式達成不同level的isolation。此外,開發以OpenStack或Kubernetes為基礎下擴增新功能,以plug-in或extension機制呈現功能。

3.針對邊緣雲特殊架構,建構相對應的雲基礎建設。

4.開發Workflow based framework讓不同的toolchain串接起來

5.開發與佈建OpenNESS 與 LF Akraino edge cloud

6. SD-WAN traffic engineering設計。

7. Kata container研發。

8.研發支持低能耗邊緣雲管理平台。

【Job Requirements資格條件】

1.EECS with strong background in Computer Science.

2.Specialty in anyone of the areas listed above is a plus.

3.Interested in a dynamic environment where technicaldevelopment, open source community, technology commercialization, innovation and applied research are our core value.

4.Great at and love teamwork; Hungry to learn and contribute.

5.Proof of TOEIC English test of 650 or better (exempt for those with college degree or work experience in an English speaking country)

6.One must pass the English test offered by ITRI for those without the TOEIC test score.

7. Interested in Edge computing and NFV

8. Interested in Kata Container

1. 碩士(含)以上,電機/資工/相關畢。

2. 有OpenStack開發經驗,有Nova, Magnum, Ironic, Kuryr, Calico, Fuxi, Kubernetes, Docker, Heat等經驗佳。

3. 有基本Linux操作能力,對Kernel了解更佳; 會寫 Python, shell script, C languages, and go language。

Founded in 1990, the Information and Communications Research Laboratories (ICL) of ITRI focuses on development of advanced and core technologies for Taiwan’s ICT industrial upgrade and value-added. In recent years, ICL has transformed its research domain from hardware-driven to software centric, service oriented and system integration, involving not only in technologies of 5G wireless communication system and network, cloud data center system technology, advanced SoC and system design, mobile devices and audio/video technology, IoT and innovative applications, but further expanding on emerging topics and applications on FinTech, autonomous vehicle, tele-operated vehicle and tele-operated drone, cyber security, artificial intelligence and edge computing, next generation ambient intelligence system, smart manufacturing service system and smart energy management.

Looking to the future, ICL will enhance the ability on software-hardware integration and creation, interdisciplinary cooperation and exploration on new business opportunity so to make contribution on deeper technology development, industrial value-added and social welfare promotion.
