What this position is about? - Scope:

  • FP&A Manager - Market Planning is primarily responsible for managing the Market P&L of the Taiwan domestic for both actual and financial plannning function.
  • FP&A Manager - Market Planning is required to manage market planning process covering OL/LE/SRP and A&SP planning cycle, provide structured analysis and support market performance management measures. The incumbent is responsible in the preparation of performance report and analysis to optimize earnings management efforts and ensure market financial performance is analysed at lowest level of details, this includes monthly actual, OL, LE, SRP/A&SP and any adhoc management request.
  • FP&A Manager - Market Planning plays a leading role in organizing the planning calendar, liaise closely with respecitve planning functions (SP&A, Entity Planning, Business Planning) to ensure full adherence to submission requirements. The incumbent play an important role to review and validate financials to ensure latest assumptions are considered. The incumbent should take a proactive approach to establish an effective two-way communcations with respective functions to build a sustainable and effective process flow. It is also important for the incumbent to drive optimization of Market Planning modelling and process in Excel and minimise duplication of work where possible.
  • FP&A Manager - Market Planning is expected to gained JTI Market Planning knowledge, understand JTI market-entity structure, understand the actual reporting and planning process flow, and respective functions responsibility to facilitate deliverables. The incumbent is required to train and retain Market Planning talents; and work together with supervisors to build a strong Market Planning talent pool.
  • This incumbent reports to the FP&A Director.

What will you do - Responsibilities:

  • Manage market financial planning and reporting function, review and provide analytical support on market performance for actual and forecast result to management team to support critical management decision
  • Perform structural actual vs. plan analysis to identify areas of focus/improvement and provide proper financial report for management review
  • Review result variance vs. plan, highlight area of focus/improvement for management review and propose corrective action points for management consideration
  • align corporate reporting standards/formats, work closely with finance colleagues to ensure consistency in report standard between market and Region/HQ requirement. It is important to ensure consistency of data/information flow to/from market to HQ/Region
    • Manage market financial planning process: PMM/LE/TDT/A&SP
  • Establish market planning calendar that require sufficient time to meet Region/Corporate reporting deadlines
  • Coordinate deadlines in conjunction with each planning cycles requirement, following up with respective functions to ensure deadlines are adhered strictly and accordingly
  • Review and validate forecast input from respective function to ensure correctness and completeness of planning requirement
  • Familiar with pricing structure and be able to provide pricing related simulation as requested by management to support critical business decision
  • Align corporate reporting standards/formats, ensure changes/requirement is fully reflected in market financial forecast
    • Manage and optimize planning process through TM1 planning model
  • Work with team member to review TM1 setup for Taiwan market to ensure the latest structure is updated properly: new SKU, CC, PC, pricing, rates etc.
  • Work with team member to establish an efficient planning process through TM1, review and fine-tune for improvement in an on-going basis
  • Work closely with Region TM1 support in resolving TM1 issue promptly
  • Work with team member to establish a structural analytical report for reviewing TM1 financial result in detail manner, focus of necessary check points to ensure correctness and completeness of financial result generated from TM1 system
  • Work with team member to establish a structural report flow to fulfill entity planning requirement
    • Manage Region/Corporate reporting flow in TM1 and BW
  • Work closely with team member to ensure timely completion of planning process in TM1 in meeting Region reporting deadlines
  • Acquire full understanding on Corporate planning requirement in BW / IVCP / SPFG /Globcon(EAM) in each LE/ASP planning cycle to ensure deadline and reporting requirement are achieved in a satisfactory manner
    • Have a clear view/understanding of different JTI financial ledger: group reporting/local GAAP and tax ledger, understand the systematic differences between SAP CO/FI, market/entity structure and reporting needs.
    • Lead and support team member in resolving day-to-day related planning matters, establish team goal in achieving a good performance standard and provide proper training and work to retain market FP&A knowledge.

    Who are we looking for - Requirements:

    • A Bachelor / University Degree in Finance/Accounting or equivalent.
    • Fluent in English and Mandarin (verbal & written)
    • At least 5-7 years of experience in Financial Planning & Reporting (P&L)within a multinational FMCG environment
    • Has good knowledge of IFRS, local GAAP, statutory ledger, and tax ledger
    • Proficient in using MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
    • Good knowledge on SAP R3 functionalities / GPM and TM1 systems and MS Office applications
    • Has good presentation skills, flexible, and has the ability to manage deadlines under pressure
    • Willing to work in Taipei, Taiwan
