In Shift Energy Taiwan, the company’s development arm is responsible for originating, designing, developing, construction managing, operating, and financing solar power assets in Japan & Taiwan.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a full spectrum of accounting/month end closing process- finance operations, reporting, statutory requirements, audit
  • Ensure compliance with accounting policies and internal control procedures and accuracy of the financial data
  • Prepare and submit bi-monthly VAT filings, monthly and annual WHT filings
  • Review and/or prepare financial reconciliations and analysis of various general ledger accounts
  • Liaise with bank for bank account opening and foreign incoming funds
  • Liaise with and support external stakeholders: auditors, tax authorities, authorities, bankers, corporate secretary, accounting third-party service provider
  • Liaise with and support internal stakeholders
  • Support the business by preparing monthly internal management deck
  • Support and/or detect and drive global improvement projects (processes, systems)
  • Support ad-hoc projects i.e. M&A

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience would be beneficial
  • Ability to understand B/S and P&L and perform controlling over accounts and financials
  • Experience in managing developer and SPEs is a plus
  • Ability to communicate both in English and Chinese is a plus
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment and drive change initiatives
  • Well-planned and organized, able to meet tight deadlines and perform under pressure
  • Able to work independently.
