Reporting directly to the Head of O&M and Asset Management, the Contract Manager, APAC, will support the entire process of managing contract creation, negotiation, execution, monitoring and analysis to maximize operational and financial performance in relation to the O&M Asset Management, including relevant interfaces to other business units.
The Contract Manager has to lead, coordinate or support other areas such as project development or construction to execute contracts, will overall use project management and leadership skills to establish and maintain the agreed level of effectiveness of our projects.
The Contract Manager shall be able to make tactical decisions at functional strategic level in accordance with pre-agreed limits set out by the direct line manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contract management, drafting and administration.
- Establish and control contractual documents management systems.
- Engage, coordinate, cooperate and seek agreement or approval with the relevant corporate functions to implement agreed legal compliance, commercial and financial objectives for negotiation of project agreements.
- Engage, coordinate, cooperate and seek agreement or approval with relevant subject matter experts such as engineering and safety specialists to ensure all operational and technical aspects are managed correctly.
- Coordinate, prepare, establish, seek approval, implement, and maintain approved contractual processes in the region.
- Coordinate dispute management processes at both regional and country levels in cooperation with legal and commercial teams
- Engage with supply chain, identify, map out, strategize, and manage supply chain relationships in accordance with the department objectives.
- Identify and seek to implement opportunities in contracting complex agreements to efficiently serve project objectives.
- Coordinate and manage all aspects in conducting pre-qualifications, invitations to tenders framework agreements or requests for information, proposals, quotation, coordinate and manage the selection process with input from all relevant stakeholders.
- Provide support or lead contractual processes in other areas, such as construction or project development as required from time to time.
Requirements
- A university degree from major studies with commercial, financial, technical, or legal background
- 8 – 12 years of prior experience in offshore industrial contracts e.g., service and availability agreements, framework agreements, FIDIC or BIMCO based forms, etc
- Experience with high value industrial contracts, commercial training, e.g., contract forms, negotiations skills, legal overview
- Knowledge of industry good practices and trends
- Excellent communication skills with a rational and collaborative mindset in problem-solving, strong coaching and teaming skills
- Ability to build and maintain sound relationships with industry partners.
- Superior time management, coordination abilities and capable of meeting deadlines
