We’re on a mission – not just to get the next billion on bikes, but to change the way we move around our cities forever. VanMoof has massively expanded over the last two years, and now we’re looking for an Accountant to get stuck in and help take charge of our international growth strategy. You’ll be based at our production headquarters in Taipei and work with the Accounting team, which manages various entities across Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Japan. You’ll work on several projects to further structure and automate our finance processes as we grow into 2022 and beyond.

As an Accountant, you’ll assist to finish month-end closing and tax filing of local entity of the VanMoof Group and participate in specific projects of certain foreign entities to strengthen the structure of Finance to be able to support our growth. At VanMoof, finance is at the very core of our business. You’ll play an important role to help us make sure all our numbers are reliable so we can make the right business decisions. But don’t get us wrong – you’ll do so much more than operational tasks. You’ll, together with the team, critically look at our current procedures and help to improve.

What You’ll Do

• You’ll perform VAT filing, withholding tax handling, and all tax reconciliation.
• You’ll be responsible for A/R creation and issue invoices.
• You’ll be in charge of the employee reimbursement.
• You’ll prepare fixed asset movement.
• You’ll maintain historical records by archiving and filing documents.
• You’ll assist to prepare journal entries by compiling account information in different entities.
• You’l support the team to perform month-end and year-end closing process.
• You’ll support internal and external audits (e.g. statutory audit, tax audit).
• You’ll support ad hoc projects assigned by finance management.
  

What You’ll Bring

• You have at least two years of experience in CPA firms and finance field (including in-house corporate accountant).
• You pay meticulous attention on detail.
• You have excellent data entry and MS Excel skills.
• You have experience using an ERP system.
• You’re able to work independently and create quality results.
• You thrive in a cross-functional, teamwork-oriented environment.
• You have business fluency/native command of English and Mandarin.
• You currently live in Taiwan.

• In depth knowledge on Local GAAP
• Experience in statutory audit process
• You are comfortable presenting your findings
