• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience with software development in C/C++.
• 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products.
• 3 years of experience working with embedded operating systems and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
  
  

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience as a technical leader on an embedded project.
• Experience bringing up and debugging new development boards.
• Experience developing mobile device system software.
• Experience with ARM and/or other low-power SoC architectures.
• Broad knowledge of linux kernel development.
• Familiarity with Android OS and bug reports.

The Pixel Core System team is responsible for delivering the highest quality Pixel devices. We work across a broad cross-functional team to bring together the best from our Pixel, Android, Hardware, and Silicon teams. We drive bring up of new Pixel devices from early factory prototypes to final production hardware. Our team collaborates with many subsystem teams including audio, sensors, display, graphics, connectivity, power, and performance. We maintain an emphasis on high quality to ensure development for all teams proceeds as scheduled and to launch a device we are all proud to call Pixel.

Making the world’s information universally accessible and useful doesn’t stop at the desktop. The Mobile team builds tools to get you the information you need no matter where you are. Android has become the world’s most popular mobile ecosystem, powering billions of devices, from smartphones to tablets, watches to TVs and everything in between. Whether adding to the core Android experience, forging new markets for digital content, creating immersive and portable versions of our products or managing relationships with a global community of developers, the Mobile team is giving you Google on the go.
