Overview

The Sr. Customer Operations Representative role requires a strong set of functional experience including working knowledge of SAP’s Sales & Distribution module. Order Management, beginning with customer quotes to the processing of orders, along with sales and customer support represents a great majority of the function. The Sr. Customer Operations Representative will report to the Sr. Manager of Customer Operations, responsibilities and qualifications are as follows:

Responsibilities
  • Provide price quotations for spare parts and service offerings across all of our Business Units
  • Process customer Purchase Orders for spare parts, systems and upgrades
  • General Sales Office Administrative support including but not limited to telephone duties, Customer correspondence, Customer visits and Sales Executive support
  • Research and communicate order status to customers
  • Interface with both external and internal customers to handle a variety of pre-sales and post-sales actions
  • Communicate regularly with sales, field service and operations on sales order processing and fulfillment strategies and issues
  • Ensure compliance with company revenue recognition policies for booking and shipment of orders
  • Complete supplier request documentation as required by key accounts – coordinate with Corporate Team to consolidate replies
  • Facilitate Government and Non-Government Bids in support of System/Parts Sales
  • Maintain complete customer order files, including Company Chop as necessary
  • Facilitate movement of inventory across Veeco depots and customers
  • General clerical duties related to Order Processing – Filing, Document Scanning, Maintaining statutory files
Qualifications
  • Minimum five years Customer Service/Order Processing experience in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Experience with SAP is preferred
  • Fast learner with the ability to work independently
  • Good organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Solid interpersonal and communication skills a must
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Visio and Powerpoint)
  • Ability to be flexible based on the needs of the current and future evolution of the business landscape
