Responsibilities (may include but not limited to)

-Take ownership of the R&D and product development from Idea to NPI stage

Idea stage:

• Collaborate with Customer Focused Team (Sales Team) to undertake new projects from domestic and foreign customers.

Design Estimate:

• Figuring out the idea and initiate the design. This task will include doing research on related Patents, working with other peers to understand all aspects of the possible design.
• Sketching the idea into the Design For Manufacturing.
• Work on and ensure smooth Simulation process for the Design.

Design Review:

• Special parts list
• Design for Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (follow-up meeting with stakeholders to review the design, and assure the design is feasible for manufacturing)
• Creating 3D model of the design

Sample verification:

• Bill of Materials (BOM) verification
• Final check list
• Working with Process Development Engineers to transfer the 3D to 2D for manufacturing purpose (initial 2D sample)

Tooling Verification:

• Verifying the final 2D sample for manufacturing
• Assure the smooth Tooling start & trial and process by co-work with other peers and stakeholders.
• Generate full dimension measure report

Trial run:

• Finalize: Official 2D Sample + BOM.
• Get components approval.
• Trial run follow, inspection and report.
• Reliability test report

- Working with other peers and stakeholders for customer’s complain and giving the validation on a timely manner.

- Other ad-hoc tasks assigned by the Manager.

Level of Responsibility:

This position will operate in a team environment under supervision and mentored by Sr. R&D engineer

Knowledge, Skills, Attributes:

Must have -

• Mechanical Engineering related background
• Familiarity 3D, 2D design software and operation
• Familiarity with design software
• Familiarity with patents research and know how to choose the exact information for the required design.
• Knowledgeable of simulation software and operation
• Possessing strong analysis, logic thinking skills
• Possessing strong communication and presenting skills
• Possessing strong problem-solving skill, method, and attitude
• Logic thinking

Nice to have -

• Strong teamwork spirit
• To be well-organised and able to handle multiple tasks at the same time.
• Possessing positive and can-do spirit and curiosity

Working location:

This position will require the training in either Neihu, Taipei, Taiwan and/ or Huizhou, Guangdong, China (maximum 6 months)

Estimate targeted on boarding month:

As soon as possible for training purpose, officially in Jan 2024 in Neihu, Taipei, Taiwan
