Vestas, the global leader in sustainable energy solutions, is looking for a Policy Specialist in Vestas Taiwan, working with our Sales Business Unit (SBU) in the Asia Pacific and Vestas’ Global Public Affairs team. We need someone who can take lead on understanding, advocating and shaping the policy and regulatory developments that impact our business, guiding positive impact on the market framework.

Group Staff Functions (CEO) > MarCom, Sustainability & Public Affairs > Global Public Affairs

Responsibilities

• Monitor and examine policies and regulatory frameworks
• Prepare market and policy briefings for senior management
• Develop advocacy strategy, policy positioning and recommendations
• Engage with government and regulatory stakeholders
• Engage with customers on policy opportunities
• Engage with national and regional trade and industry associations
• Represent and promote Vestas at industry conferences
  

Qualifications

• Experienced in the field of public affairs, government relations, policy and regulatory affairs
• Good business knowledge and ability to bridge policy activities with business goals
• Solid networking skills and can present him- or herself professionally and confidently
• Analytical mindset combined with sharp and effective communication skills
• Relevant postgraduate degree (e.g. political science, law, business, etc.)
• International experience, perhaps from an international company
• Ability to understand and adapt to a multicultural environment
• Professional English language both written and oral skills
• First and foremost a collaborator
