Region APC > Construction & Operations APAC > Contract Management OffshoreAs Contract Manager, you will be part of Vestas’ Project Management team in Offshore Construction which comprises a team of highly motivated colleagues, primarily responsible for project execution including installation and commissioning of offshore wind turbines. Although this is our primary focus, our team also supports the rest of MHI Vestas’ value chain with our knowledge of construction projects.Responsibilities
  • You will support the Construction department with enthusiastic and ongoing advice and recommendations in relation to commercial and contractual issues affecting the delivery of projects to meet the required safety, quality, time and budget standards.
  • Contract administration
  • Contractual cost management
  • Identification and management of key deliverables
  • Facilitate the contract-related correspondences required in respect of notices, payments, extension of time claims, variations.
  • Scope management/change control
  • Risk and opportunity support
QualificationsExperience in the construction or engineering or wind industries and for instance also Quantity Surveying experience at a senior QS level. Weare looking for a candidate with substantial commercial and contractual knowledge and claims management experience. You are an independent leader who pays high attention to detail and can work in a time-sensitive situation meeting tight deadlines. You have an accurate and rigid approach to applying contractual mechanisms and procedures, and you have a perceptive approach to problem-solving.Competencies
  • Have previous and extensive contract management and commercial experience
  • Claims management and project risk management experience
  • Experience from renewable energy or construction or engineering industries
  • Are inclusive in coaching other project team members in understanding contractual requirements and obligations
  • Hold a relevant university degree or relevant professional institute qualifications
  • Collaborator
  • Have significant negotiation skills
  • Scientific and detail-oriented
  • Work well in a time-sensitive situation and meet tight deadlines
  • Able to work with limited supervision and self-develop
  • Skilled the user of Microsoft Office programs
  • Have a genuine interest in construction/contract law
  • Are able to communicate fluently (verbally and in writing) in English
