Through a respectful, inclusive and collaborative culture, a career at Flex offers the opportunity to make a difference, invest in your career growth and join our purpose -- to make great products that create value and improve people’s lives.To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a/an Sr. Derating Engineer located in Taiwan Taipei Wugu Site.Reporting to the Design Quality Engineering Manager, the Sr. Derating Engineer role involves responsibilities to do Component Stress Analysis, CMTBF and E-cap life calculation of different product being designed.What a typical day looks like:

• Follow IPC9592 standard and other customer de-rating requirements
• Review customer and internal product specification and generate test plan
• Will collaborate with other team members to verify De-rating requirement.
• Attend project review and if there is design need to highlight.
• Develop tests that are able to effectively analyze product components and feedback to identify discrepancies, defects and problems
• Collaborate with other Engineers to understand customer De-rating requirement, and other international standard during development
• Analyze testing data to determine areas where a product can be improved or modified to better meet the needs of customers
• Present report findings, suggestions and detailed data to the Team in an informative manner to help them make better decisions regarding a product’s De-rating requirement
• Document all proceedings and tests and guarantee that classified information remains secure and confidential.
• Derating engineer will collaborate with other Teams in order to satisfy internal and external customers.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

• Minimum 7+ years of Design Qualification or as a support team in any power electronics research and development.
• Familiar in generating reports of CMTBF using PTC windchill formerly Relex, electronics component stress analysis in reference of IPC9592, electrolytic capacitor vendor calculation formula.
