Job Title:
Mechanical Engineer

Job Location:
Zhubei City, Taiwan

Summary:
UltraSense Systems is looking for strong Mechanical Engineer. Main responsibilities include integrating UltraSense HMI products across multiple applications from mobile to automotive to IoT and involved in the entire development process from initial concept through manufacturing.

Major Responsibilities:
• In charge of product designs of consumer electronics, automotive, and appliances and involved in the entire development process from initial concept through manufacturing
• Focus on the physical appearance, functionality, and manufacturability of various products and create parametric surface models of products that are adaptable to change as design evolves
• Assess/analyze the mechanical structure with commercial finite element software and optimize sensor performance by the simulation result
• Aim at improving user experience through well-executed design with our sensor interface and build Mockup in practices
• Cooperate with cross-functional teams for innovative solutions, inclusive of Mechanical Engineering, Optimizing Product Design and Issue-resolving Design

Minimum Qualifications:
• Master’s degree or above in science or technical discipline with a minimum of 3 years of mechanical design/simulation experience
• Proficient in the 3D CAD system; excellent sketching skills is a must.
• Familiar with commercial finite element software, mainly ABAQUS; can build meshes for thermal and structural simulations. Other fields are pluses.
• Familiar with assembly and tolerance analysis
• Familiar with system/product level characterization and material testing
• Strong conceptualization and creative problem-solving skills, strong mechanical aptitude, and basic understanding of manufacturing processes in manufacturing processes not limited to - plastic injection molding, sheet metal forming and welding, die casting, CNC machining, complex assembly & testing, surface finishing for both plastic and metal.
• Must be effectively bilingual in Mandarin and English; excellent written and spoken communication skills are required.
