We are looking for General Manager for the ZIM logistics operations to manage the network of our new freight forwarding activity in Taiwan. This is a new position, set in a new organization, so we are looking for someone who has the experience and is thrilled about creating new solutions and global networks

The position includes:

• Establishing the forwarding activity in Taiwan including all aspects of the freight forwarding services.
• Overall Responsible for P&L performance
• Report and provide insights on weekly/monthly KPIs
• Oversee business development, Sales, Customer Service and solutions, Operations and Shared services functions (Finance, HR, Admin and IT)
• Lead the team to build up and maintain good relationship with existing and new customers and suppliers ( air/sea Carriers, trucking, warehouse
  
  

Business development

• Grow existing business (sea/air-freight forwarding, trucking, customs brokerage and warehousing)
• Expand customer base, agency network and strengthen carrier relationship
• Diversify into new business activities
• Create value added services to grow revenue stream
  
  

Customer services

• Create and Enhance customer service experience
• Streamline processes to improve productivity and customer satisfaction
• Promote digital solutions and support branding efforts
  
  

Staff development

• Develop the team
• Build bench strength
• Bonus scheme design and propose the plan to HQ for stimulating the motivation on developing high profit business
  
  

Requirements:

• Degree in Logistics or Supply Chain or equivalent preferred
• Minimum 5 years’ experience as managerial role in a freight forwarding/logistics company, with P&L accountability
• Extensive, in depth knowledge and experience of the global freight forwarding/logistics industry, with a strong commercial focus in large global scales
• Strong reporting, problem-solving and analytics capabilities
• Good leadership skills, entrepreneurship mindset
• Fluency in spoken & written English and able to converse in Mandarin with Chinese speaking clients
• Proven success in working in a global, high paced environment
