Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of industry experience, with 3 years of experience in technical leadership and people management.
  • Experience managing projects in software or software-based networking.
  • Ability to speak and write in English and Chinese fluently.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience in managing teams within a software development organization.
  • Experience in designing, implementing, or using networking protocols (IPv4/v6, UDP/TCP, DNS, HTTP, QUIC, TLS, etc.).
  • Experience in one or more general purpose programming languages such as C/C++, Python, Rust or Go.
  • Experience in deploying on-device Machine Learning models.
  • Knowledge of the Linux kernel networking stack and drivers.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of Software Engineers/Firmware Engineers to design/implement/fine-tune the machine learning models to improve Pixel connectivity experience.
  • Develop and grow talents through hiring, mentoring, and coaching engineers.
  • Partner and collaborate with peer Engineering teams, product management, to launch high-quality solutions in a timely manner.
  • Drive technical projects and provide solid networking mentorship to inspire team to innovate, design, and implement advanced connectivity features with high quality.
