The Role

We’re looking for a junior financial analyst to join EMQ’s Finance & Accounting team and support our growing transaction volume and related processes. As a financial analyst, you will handle payments and cash-related transactions, such as daily bank reconciliation and bookkeeping on bank entries; in addition to various finance projects.

Responsibilities

  • Handle high-value transactions daily via cash payments and credit cards.
  • Issue receipts, refunds, and credits
  • Maintain daily, weekly, and monthly reports of transactions.
  • Cash receipt and Accounts receivable reconciliation
  • Monitor and manage company bank account and cash flow
  • Prepare daily/weekly/monthlybank balance reports and credit card receipts; track transactions on balance sheets and report any discrepancies.
  • Assist in managing various account receivable accounts, liaise with external agencies and perform fund transfer to other accounts.
  • Support daily cashier process, escalate issues and liaise with bank partners to ensure all transactions are in accordance to the operation procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent professional certificate.
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in cash management, experience in the banking/finance industry will be an added advantage.
  • Ability to multi-task and meet assigned deadlines
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Detail oriented and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, especially PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Fluency in English is required.
