As a Business Development Specialist, you will support the local Business Unit/Product Group by focusing on defining and implementing marketing and sales strategies specifically aimed at developing into markets, segments, or other strategic areas not currently defined for Process Automation Business Area in Kaohsiung, Taiwan.
Reporting to the Business Development Manager, you will ensure the definition of the business plan, annual marketing plans, and marketing strategies according to budget.
Your responsibilities
- Contributing to local Business Unit/Product Group strategy definition and execution through the analysis and identification of new markets, segments and/or product solutions.
- Providing market intelligence analyses in support of identification and development of new markets, segments or solutions.
- Participating in internal work groups in order to share know-how, processes and market information.
- Identifying, leading or contributing to identification and acquisition opportunities to expand into the newly defined area.
- Collaborating with all related internal contacts to ensure alignment, efficiency and effectiveness in the implementation of the commercial strategy.
- Coordinating product marketing launch development plans and ensures efficient and effective execution together with the Area and Regional Manager.
- Identifying partnership opportunities and participates in the definition of partnerships agreements together with local Business Unit.
- Participating in planning and implementation of customer events and trade shows.
- Ensuring budget (volumes) and profitable growth targets are achieved in the respective countries and for all assigned Product Groups. Ensures achievement of targets on orders, net price variance (NPV), Net Promoter Score (NPS), etc.
- At least 5 years working experience as sales role or Automation or electrical sales experience in industries is a plus.
- Good knowledge of ABB products/systems
- Good knowledge of Digital Transformation and Industrial 4.0
- Good knowledge in contract and risk management
- Able to integrate different products into one solution to customer.
- Significant sales drive, focus energy to achieve and close profitable deals. Ability to push himself/herself to develop in line with the changes in the organization
- A bachelor’s Degree or above, major in chemical or electrical engineering or IT background is a plus
- Excellent skills in Customer relations: Show a mature selling behavior and actively drives discussions and negotiations to the benefit of the business with customers
