At Vive R&D team, we’re developing the future of virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR). As a Technical Program Manager, your job will be hardware key parts and components management through entire product lifecycle. You will lead program plan of requirements, schedule and budget with internal and external stakeholders. You will work closely with Engineers, Project Managers, and Suppliers/ODMs/OEMs to deliver high-quality products built, tested and released on time, in scope and in budget as project goal. We look for program managers who are natural motivators, cross-functional relationship builders, strong driving and execution capability in fast-paced innovative environment.

Minimum Qualification

lBachelor’s degree in Engineering field or equivalent practical experience.

l3+ years of program/project management experience developing consumer electronics products through the entire lifecycle with cross-function teams

lKnowledge of phase gate approach to technology development projects.

lKnowledge of program and issue tracking.

lExperience with component and module qualification, validation process.

lExperience driving international CM/OEM/ODM partners.

Responsibilities

lManage hardware component development and contribute to engineering deliverables, including specifications, design options, and test plans.

lDevelop and drive hardware component schedules with well-defined milestones and Build clear communication channel with key stakeholders to drive transparency and end-to-end coordination of deliverables

lManage hardware key parts development like display, camera, lens, acoustics or power battery components with Engineers and Operation team.

lCreate development, delivery, and qualification schedules based on system requirements, technical challenges, lead-times and business needs.

lInterface between vendors and cross-functional Engineering and Operations teams driving builds and managing hardware component schedule, budget and performance.

lWork with Engineering and Operations team of component built tooling, equipment, fixture/jig. Review its design, cost and schedule with suppliers.

lManage delivery of samples and mass production parts for the different builds.

Preferred Qualifications

lKnowledge of hardware development and manufacturing process, vendor relations and working with Contract Manufactures in Asia.

lAbility to be a team player and creative thinker, who can lead technical teams, cross-functional groups and vendors.

lExperience in component manufacture ( display, camera, lens, acoustics, cable, power) is plus.

lDemonstrate process improvements proactively to streamline components development.
