- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, related engineering field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in Technical Program Management and Hardware Engineering.
- Experience working in Original Design Manufacture (ODM), Contract Manufacturer (CM), and/or Joint Development Manufacturer (JDM) models of product development.
- 5 years of experience in New Product Introduction (NPI) project/program management for consumer electronics (i.e. tablets, phones, notebooks).
- 5 years of people management experience.
- Experience with shipping products in high volumes, with successful completion of multiple consumer products.
- Knowledge of system development, supply chain, and operations.
- Understanding of hardware product execution such as Mechanical Engineers, Product Design, product cost, and manufacturing/supplier operations.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects using your engineering expertise. You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders. You’re equally at home explaining your team’s analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical trade-offs in product development with engineers. Using your extensive technical and leadership expertise, you manage various Engineering-specific programs and teams.

In this role, you will shape the product development execution and delivery of our products. You will manage a team of Technical Program Managers, coaching and mentoring them through the entire product development cycle to successful ramp and launch of products. Responsibilities
- Manage and grow a team of Technical Program Managers (System and Module Engineering Program Manager’s) and oversee hardware product development for a product through the entire lifecycle.
- Ensure the success and development of individuals on the project team by defining clear expectations, providing timely and specific feedback, and holding others accountable.
- Identify and solve cross-functional and inter-team challenges. Provide technical oversight on development of electronic products done by your team.
- Manage multiple interdependent projects of moderate to high complexity and scope.
- Build positive, trusting relationships through consistent, on-time delivery of commitments and effective communication. Identify mentorship opportunities and coordinate training and professional development for your team.
