Do you have a builder’s mentality where “show me” means more than “tell me”? Are you passionate about picking up emerging technologies in the Internet of Things? Are you adept at working with customers to experiment with innovative ideas? Do you enjoy rolling up the sleeves and building prototypes?

We are a hands-on team of cross-functional developers. We work across the full stack, from Amazon FreeRTOS and Amazon IoT Greengrass on the edge, all the way up to the analytics and machine learning services in the AWS cloud. We enable our hardware partners by validating the Amazon edge software on their hardware. We collaborate with partners and customers in creating early iterations of solutions using the AWS IoT services, often exploring new technical grounds. The team is looking for motivated engineers who possess a unique balance of technical depth, curiosity to learn, and strong interpersonal and presentation skills.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Computer Engineering / Computer Science or related field
• 3+ years of industry experience in at least one of these domains: Device firmware/software based on RTOS or Linux; Application of Machine Learning; Application of Computer Vision; Application of Alexa.
• Master at least one of, and have hands-on experience in at least another one of, the following programming languages: C, C++, C#, Java, Node.js, Python, Go, Ruby
• Master debugging and troubleshooting techniques/tools on RTOS and Linux environments
• Hands on experience in using at least one version control systems, such as Git
• Hands on experience in using at least one of the following: JSON, REST, MQTT, Serverless Computing
• Ability to present ideas in a crisp, clear and concise manner
• Ability to write technical documentations using narratives, charts, graphs and code examples
• Location is flexible for Shenzhen and Taipei
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in one or more of the following domains is a plus:

• Experience on QNX (popular OS for automotive), docker, Multi-access Edge Computing (MEC) platform, and REST programming.
• Developing automated test suites
• Hardware lab equipment such as digital scopes and logic analyzers
• Hands-on work in one or more specific IoT applications, i.e., manufacturing, industrial, retail, smart home, health, asset tracking, utilities, etc.
• Building and/or operating highly available, distributed systems of data extraction, ingestion and processing
• Large scale data warehousing and analytics
