Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 7 years of experience working on phone security design or operating system security, including 5 years of experience building and growing software teams.
• Experience with the security development life cycle.
• Experience with software development using C or C++.
  
  

Preferred qualifications:

• Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• Experience in authentication, encryption, certificate management, or embedded/phone security.
• Ability to speak and write in English fluently.
  
  

About The Job

In this role, you will build security and privacy into the core of Pixel devices to help end users and business owners to deal with existing and incoming security challenges. You will bring the most innovative security technologies and features into Pixel devices and also Android ecosystems.

The Google Pixel team focuses on designing and delivering the world’s most helpful mobile experience. The team works on shaping the future of Pixel devices and services through some of the most advanced designs, techniques, products, and experiences in consumer electronics. This includes bringing together the best of Google’s artificial intelligence, software, and hardware to build global smartphones and create transformative experiences for users across the world.

Responsibilities

• Define security requirements and review the design for next generation silicon.
• Act as Technical Lead for Pixel security designs and projects.
• Research, design, and develop cutting edge security features for Pixel devices. Harden system software components critical to Pixel security.
• Improve infrastructures for fuzzing, testing, and CI.
• Lead technical solutions to help mitigate security vulnerabilities.
