General Summary

Responsible for planning, implementing, and managing compliance of design, manufacturing, and production processes with internal and external safety, quality, and regulatory standards requirements for worldwide distribution. Designs, implements, and maintains methods and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision and accuracy of design, production processes, production equipment, and finished products. Performs analysis of reports and data to identify trends and recommend updates or control changes to quality standards and procedures when necessary. Ensures quality integration into the overall functions of design, development, process, and production.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
• 1+ years of experience with data modeling in statistical software such as MS Excel, Minitab, etc.
  
  

Principal Duties And Responsibilities

• Identifies defects or problems in products; brings them to the attention of project leads and provides input on efforts to resolve them.
• Understands and independently applies core, high-level concepts related to product/process.
• Aids in research or data gathering and participates in implementing improvements to the design and process of products.
• Participates in the development of dashboards for quality metrics.
• Participates in measuring the effectiveness of quality programs.
• Participates in research and problem solving related to the Internal Assessment Program, bringing findings to the attention of more senior engineers.
• Participates in writing reports based on audits and other information about product development processes.
• Participates in creating training materials, process documents, and templates for ISO 9000 certification.
• Uses statistical analysis programs to conduct analyses on a single project.
  
  

Level Of Responsibility

• Working under close supervision.
• Taking responsibility for own work and making decisions with limited impact; Impact of decisions is readily apparent; errors made typically only impact timeline (i.e., require additional time to correct).
• Using verbal and written communication skills to convey basic, routine factual information about day-to-day activities to others who are fully knowledgeable in the subject area.
• Completing most tasks with multiple steps which can be performed in various orders; some planning and prioritization must occur to complete the tasks effectively; mistakes may result in some rework.
• Exercising some creativity to troubleshoot technical problems or deal with novel circumstances.
• Using deductive problem solving to solve moderately complex problems; most problems have defined processes of diagnosis/detection; some limited data analysis may be required.
