Corning’s Display Technologies segment manufactures glass substrates for active matrix liquid crystal displays (“LCDs”) that are used primarily in LCD televisions, notebook computers and flat panel desktop monitors.

Day To Day Responsibilities
  • Daily track product quality performance and conducts quality risk assessment for quality issues.
  • Quality risky lots management with containment actions for internal/external quality issues.
  • Create process quality monitoring system for error detection early and trigger containment actions.
  • Create FMEA/QC plan for QA inspection/measurement process
  • Initiate various data analysis to identify correlation between quality outputs and process inputs for risk assessment.
  • Support Account QA to deal with customer complaint issues and work out preventive actions.
  • Conduct routine audit to shop floor for process quality assurance.
  • Benchmark Quality Control with sister plants and migrate best practice.
  • Join EEP/Experiments with Engineering group.
  • Conduct DMAIC Projects for continuous quality improvement.
  • Conduct qualification for new line, new equipment or line retrofit.
  • Join audit for external/internal ISO system, IATF 16949 and customer annual audit
