Mechanical Design Engineer

• Research and analyze customer design proposals, specifications, manuals, and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements of designs or applications
• Develop the structural design of products, using AutoCAD and Solid Works drafting equipment and software.
• Confer with engineers and other personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, and provide technical information in fabrication, operation, application, installation and repair of mechanical and electromechanical manufacturing products.
• Specify system components or direct modification of products to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications
• Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation
• Provide feedback to design engineers on customer problems and needs
• Conduct research that tests and analyzes the feasibility, design, operation and performance of equipment, components and systems.
• Recommend design modifications to eliminate machine or system malfunctions.
• Develop, coordinate, and monitor all aspects of production, including selection of manufacturing methods, fabrication, and operation of product designs.
• Write performance requirements for product development or engineering projects.
  

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related filed disciplines with minimum 2 year’s mechanical engineering experience or relevant working experience.
• Strong quantitative, analytical, and design techniques
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including English
• Ability to multitask and consistently deliver high quality output
• Strong problem solving skills
• Ability to work well both independently and as part of teams
• Knowledge of DFM/DFA design principles
• Strong skill with GD&T standards
• Attention to detail and willingness to assume responsibility for designs and projects
• Good understanding of thermo-mechanical design principles
• Good knowledge of materials and material thermal properties
• Experience with precision design, tolerancing, and error budgets
• Proficiency with Solidworks, AutoCAD, and ANSYS
• Semiconductor industry experience strongly preferred
