Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience developing development test solutions.
• Experience in the development of manufacturing test software.
  
  

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience working with server, storage, and networking products.
• Experience with test stations bringing-up including gauge R&R/correlation. Working with partner or contract mfg (ODM, OEM, JDM).
• Experience of coding in Python, Bash, and Shell scripting to generate product-specific test plans and executing testing accordingly.
• Knowledge with Linux and Window operating systems and common command line tools.
• Strong capability in troubleshooting with the engineering team on manufacturing related issues.
• Excellent communication, project management, and leadership skills.

The Hardware Testing Engineering team ensures that this cutting-edge equipment is reliable. In the R&D lab, you design test equipment for prototypes of our machinery and develop the protocols used to scale these tests for the entire global team. Working closely with design engineers, you give input on designs to improve our hardware until you’re sure it meets Google’s standards of quality and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and sustain manufacturing test processes, tools and procedures for manufacturing operation of products to be deployed at Google Data Center.
• Design, build, and deploy test platforms for Google’s global manufacturing partners. Partner with the New Product Introduction team to define design for test (DFT) requirements and provide input to the manufacturing test strategy.
• Provide caliber manufacturing test engineering support for new and existing products. Drive initiatives to improve test process efficiencies, improve test coverage, and reduce cost.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and root cause manufacturing yield issues and field escapes. Drive issues to closure with preventive measures.
• Collaborate with internal engineers and partner engineers to drive test improvement or optimization.
