- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 10 years of experience in program/project management developing consumer electronics products through the entire lifecycle with cross-functional teams.
- 2 years of experience in people management.
- Experience in electrical engineering schematic design or partner domain (e.g., mechanical design), program management, project management, professional services and/or engineering management.
- Experience working with Contract Manufacturers (CMs) in Asia.
- Experience in consumer electronics and wearables module development.
- Knowledge of hardware development, manufacturing processes, and vendor relations.
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects using your engineering expertise. You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders. You’re equally at home explaining your team’s analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical trade-offs in product development with engineers.
Using your extensive technical and leadership expertise, you manage various Engineering-specific programs and teams.
In this role, you will work closely with Engineers, Product Managers, Contract Manufacturer, Original Device Manufacturer, and Original Equipment Manufacturer to get high-quality products built, tested and released on time. You will bridge the gap between critical technologies and the top-level system. You will be responsible for identifying and managing risks, making judgments about quality, and stopping or speeding up production at the right time.

Responsibilities
- Manage a team of Hardware Technical Program Managers to autonomously manage development of hardware modules and drive the overall tactical execution and strategy of the team for one or more systems.
- Lead a cross-functional team to execute tactical solutions to technology development risks and issues to meet system build milestones, cost, and manufacturability.
- Develop and manage hardware module schedules and resource needs with Engineering and Operations teams and communicate project status to stakeholders and leadership.
- Interface between vendors and cross-functional Engineering and Operations teams. Build and manage hardware module schedules, budgets, and performance.
- Lead module sub-system development builds at one or more vendors, and manage the budgets for module development.
