Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 10 years of experience in electrical measurement, reliability test, mechanical test, or thermal measurement field.
  
  

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience in power, thermal, mechanical, reliability, safety and compliance testing to support the team to perform and define the test scope.
• Experience in working with third party labs for testing and compliance.
• Experience in people management.
• Understanding of Server, Storage, or GPU system architecture, including physical, functional, logical, mechanical, electrical, software, and thermal design and debugging.

Your team designs and builds the hardware, software and networking technologies that power all of Google’s services. As a Hardware Engineer, you design and build the systems that are the heart of the world’s largest and most powerful computing infrastructure. You develop from the lowest levels of circuit design to large system design and see those systems all the way through to high volume manufacturing. Your work has the potential to shape the machinery that goes into our cutting-edge data centers affecting millions of Google users.

As a part of Google Platforms Infrastructure Engineering team, you will be responsible for the design, development and delivery of Google’s cutting edge compute and storage machines to satisfy Google Data Center internal use and external Cloud customers. You will ensure the continuous operation of the multi-functional engineering labs, and work with the Data Center teams for the planning and deployment of new server, storage and networking technologies.

Responsibilities

• Manage the team to work with hardware engineering, software engineering and test engineering to ensure the lab resources can meet the project requirements, including lab spaces, debugging environment, networking topology, and test equipment setup.
• Plan the Lab resources with the multi functional and dimensional teams including power consumption and spaces to satisfy the requirements and demand from all projects and stakeholders, and work continuously on the future lab expansion.
• Manage and work with the team to perform the warehouse, stocking, logistics, and inventory control, including DUT, equipment, networking, spare parts, and facilities.
• Ensure the daily operation of the engineering and test Labs and all the Lab activities including safety, expansion and maintenance.
• Communicate with the JDM/ODM partners and key technology suppliers to maximize our verification efficiency and effectiveness.
