Our Taipei office is currently having an opportunity for a Graduate Renewable Energy Engineer to join the team. Mott MacDonald is a dynamic and innovative engineering, management and development consultancy, and a recognised leader in providing renewable energy technical advisory services. In this role you will find the opportunities for strong career progression by contributing to large scale local and international renewable energy projects. Some of the exciting projects we are working on in Taiwan include the Lender’s Technical Advisor for the

180MW Changhua Floating Solar, as well as Owner’s Engineer for Hai Long Offshore Wind Farm.

• Challenged with a wide variety of innovative projects: from floating solar PV, offshore wind to energy storage. Every day will be different!

As Part Of This Role, You Will

• Contribute to a variety of renewable energy project services, such as feasibility studies, lenders’ technical due diligence and owner’s engineer services, across all-project lifecycle stages, including development, financing, design, construction, and operations.
• Attend meetings with clients, addressing technical and commercial issues, and undertaking site visits.
• Support project managers to deliver high quality work that exceeds our client’s expectations.
• Use your technical and analytical skills to solve complex engineering problems.
• Supporting business development activities.
• Develop your subject-matter expertise through training and on-the-job learning.
• Collaborate with other team members (both locally and globally), across disciplines and sectors, to encourage innovation and open opportunities with connected thinking.
  

Candidate Specification
What can you bring to the team?

• A good Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Renewable Energy, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil Engineering, Physics, or related field. Fresh graduates are welcome.
• Passion for renewable energy.
• Mandarin native speaker with an excellent command of written and spoken English.
• Ability to demonstrate comprehension of technical concepts, as well as the capability and keenness to solve complex engineering issues.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and numerical capabilities.
• A good collaborator and team player.
• Enthusiasm to work on a variety of different types of projects, according to our client’s requirements.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
• Self-driven and quality-oriented mindset, and the ability to bring your best to every project.
• Willingness to travel when needed for project site visits or client meetings
