Minimum qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Communications/Electrical Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• 5 years of experience with LTE and 5G New Radio (NR) protocol development
• Experience in C/C++ and embedded real-time operating system (RTOS)
  
  

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience in the modem architecture design, module development, and protocol testing
• Experience in 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) Layer 3 protocols
• Experience working collaboratively on complex projects and influencing engineering teams
• Excellent communication, planning, and mentoring skills
  
  

About The Job

In this role, you will focus on development, integration, and customization of modem protocol software on Android devices, working closely with various teams. You will be the point of contact for designing, implementing, and testing the modem protocol software. You will also be responsible for developing power and performance optimized connectivity solutions that enable excellent user experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop innovative features on cellular protocols.
• Develop power and performance optimized connectivity solutions, particularly in Layer 3.
• Work and design with the global carriers engineering team to meet customer’s performance and features requirements.
• Debug, triage, and fix modem Layer 3 issues from factory, certification, to field tests.
