About Our Client

My client is a global leader in providing Semiconductor packaging & testing automation and advanced manufacturing solutions for a wide range of industries.

Job Description

• Provide pre-sale and post-sale product and process application support to sales, service, and customers.
• Review customer’s circuit board design, related manufacturing processes, and production capacities to identify potential production savings.
• Assist in defining market needs for new product features and enhancements.
• Evaluate prospective new applications and determine feasibility for company’s equipment.
• Assist/support field engineers and customers in resolving technical issues related to products.
• Analyze technical problems and recommend design or process modifications to avoid future issues.
• Communicate with technical specialists, product teams, and central engineering regarding field issues.
• Visit customer sites for data collection, feedback gathering, technical assistance, or training.
• Maintain up-to-date product documentation and stay informed about product improvements.
  

The Successful Applicant

• Researches and analyses data such as customer design proposals, specifications and manuals to determine feasibility and cost of design or application.
• Provides design improvement recommendations for company assigned products based on customer feedback and determines/coordinates action plan based on product team priorities and resource availability.
• Analyzes product or application opportunities and performs design calculations based on engineering principles.
• May participate in and evaluate field installations and recommend design modifications to eliminate machine or system malfunctions.
• May use computer-assisted design/drafting equipment and software to develop/design solutions to customer issues.
• Designs, documents, and procures/modifies parts or assemblies for prototype testing. Develops and coordinates test plan. Compiles test data and documents formal report for distribution to respective personnel.
