ᴘᴜʀᴘᴏsᴇ ᴏғ ᴛʜɪs ᴘᴏsɪᴛɪᴏɴ

• The purpose of this position is to develop wireless AP/STA drivers and firmware, lead projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and introduce new technologies to the team with a significant impact. The position aims to ensure the continued success and competitiveness of our product portfolio in the Wi-Fi networking domain.

ᴍᴀᴊᴏʀ ᴀʀᴇᴀs ᴏғ ʀᴇsᴘᴏɴsɪʙɪʟɪᴛʏ

• Develop and review software for embedded systems, including Wi-Fi drivers, Wi-Fi firmware, and Linux kernel enhancements.
• Participate in discussions on IEEE 802.11 protocols, including regular specification reviews within the team and tracking of IEEE WG activities.
• Clarify communication requirements based on customer use cases and provide on-site support when necessary.
• Write clean, modular, and efficient code for wireless software modules, ensuring reliability and robustness.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate wireless functionalities into embedded systems.
• Conduct feasibility studies and technical evaluations to select suitable wireless technologies, protocols, and frameworks for specific project requirements.
• Perform thorough testing and debugging of wireless software components, resolving issues and bugs.
• Collaborate with QA engineers to develop test plans and ensure high software quality standards.
• Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and wireless communication standards.
• Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers in troubleshooting and problem-solving.
• Contribute to the improvement of software development processes, tools, and methodologies.

ᴍɪɴɪᴍᴜᴍ ᴊᴏʙ ʀᴇǫᴜɪʀᴇᴍᴇɴᴛs

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in leading embedded software development projects, specifically in the wireless (Wi-Fi) domain.
• Strong knowledge of embedded Linux systems, including kernel configuration, device drivers, and system optimization.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, and Python for embedded software development.
• Familiarity with wireless communication protocols and standards, including Wi-Fi (802.11), Bluetooth, Zigbee, or others.
