Rambus, a premier chip and silicon IP provider, is seeking to hire an exceptional Design Engineer (PCIe, CXL, ASIC, FPGA, Verilog) to join our Interface IP / PCIe CXL controller team in Aix-en-Provence, France. Candidates will be joining some of the brightest inventors and engineers in the world to develop products that make data faster and safer.
 
As a Design Engineer, the candidate will be reporting to the Design Manager. This is a Full Time position. The candidate will be working on developing, verifying, validating and supporting flexible, synthesizable IP for high end protocols, including PCIe and CXL. Post COVID this will be a hybrid working environment with 2 days in office and 3 days per week remote.
Location: Aix-en-Provence in France. Relocation and sponsorship available.
Responsibilities

• Define the micro-architecture and implement RTL design in accordance with specifications and requirements
• Participate in FPGA prototyping and hardware validation
• Run and improve quality checks (ASIC synthesis, CDC/RDC/Linting, simulation)
• Collaborate with a worldwide team
  

Qualifications

• 2 + yrs experience with Verilog or VHDL RTL Design is required
• Must be proficient with speaking and communicating in English. Willingness to work with an international team required.
  

Additional Desirable Skills

• ASIC and FPGA design flow and tools (ASIC Synthesis, CDC / RDC / Linting, Quartus, Vivado)
• High speed interface protocols like PCIe, CCIX, CXL, Gen-Z, USB, Ethernet, others
• Experience of working with FPGA SerDes
• Proficiency in programming and/or scripting languages (Python, Cshell…)
• Knowledge of UPF
