Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience in high performance IP (e.g., CPU, GPU, DSP) or SOC DFT activities.
• Experience in developing, deploying, and supporting DFT flows like ATPG, LV, BIST and JTAG.
  
  

Preferred qualifications:

• 5 years of industry experience on high performance CPUs.
• Experience developing novel DFT solutions, silicon bring up and validation.
• Proficient with a scripting language like Perl, TCL, or Python.
• Knowledge of high performance and low power design DFT techniques.
• Understanding of the end-to-end flows (i.e., Design, Verification, DFT, PD implementation and Static Timing Analysis.).
  
  

About The Job

Your team designs and builds the hardware, software and networking technologies that power all of Google’s services. As a Hardware Engineer, you design and build the systems that are the heart of the world’s largest and most powerful computing infrastructure. You develop from the lowest levels of circuit design to large system design and see those systems all the way through to high volume manufacturing. Your work has the potential to shape the machinery that goes into our cutting-edge data centers affecting millions of Google users.

With your technical expertise, you lead projects in multiple areas of expertise (i.e., engineering domains or systems) within a data center facility, including construction and equipment installation/troubleshooting/debugging with vendors.

In this role, your key responsibilities include design, develop, and deploy Design for testing (DFT) solutions to design our next generation advanced CPU. You will use your creativity and diverse range of engineering experience to explore solutions to a variety of engineering problems. Additionally, you will participate in the design, analysis, and prototyping of new concepts.

Responsibilities

• Architect, implement and verify DFT solutions for advanced cpu designs.
• Write basic to complex scripts to automate the DFT flow.
• Develop production tests in Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) flow.
• Collaborate with Architecture, RTL and Physical Design team members in driving and implementing DFT solutions.
