Summary:The Application Consultant is responsible for the implementation & technical support on scheduling & dispatching solutions based on Applied Materials product of AutoSched, Activity Manager (AMA) & RTD. A principal activity of this position is to deploy scheduling and dispatching project to achieve customer manufacturing requirements. Other responsibilities include involvement in pre-sales activities as well as providing consulting on product to domain mapping to implementation teams.Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Post-sales implementation support resulting in satisfied customers.
  • Organize a meeting concerning all phases of project lifecycle (requirement collection, specification, development and testing, delivery and sign-off).
  • Determine solutions for customer requirements through the application of Activity Manager (AMA), RTD and Autosched. This includes analyzing and understanding customer manufacturing issues and requirements, understanding the customer environment and documenting its processes and procedures. It also includes determining if the requirements can be catered by the standard product offering.
  • Conduct pre-sales activities & presentations to introduce planning, scheduling & dispatching.
  • Participate in documentation reviews of Applied products as appropriate.
  • Participate in on-going training of Applied products to customers for sales and marketing issues.
  • Keep up-to-date on new technologies and new products by attending classes, seminars, conferences, and/or presentations.

Special Requirements:
  • Computer Science or Industry Engineering bachelor degree or MBA with Information system background.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in Semiconductor, LCD, LED or Solar manufacturing environment.
  • At least 3 years experience in implementing planning/scheduling/dispatching system in manufacturing and process improvement initiatives would be an advantage.
  • Knowledge of Applied RTD is required and at least 3 years’ experience to write RTD rules.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
