Region APC > Service APAC > ROS GA & JPIn this role you will be part of the Regional Operations Support team for Greater Asia & Japan. The goal of local Regonal Operation Engineering team to assist service department with wind farm operation by providing technical supports and solutions, optimizing turbine performance and supporting enhancement of technicians’ skillset. Separately, the team will be also engineering projects related to cost-out and operational readiness activities.Responsibilities
  • Provide 1st level technical trouble shooting support to Service (Vestas & Non-Vestas)
  • Provide remote / on-site support to service operation on resolution of turbine alarms / alerts
  • Travel on as needs basis to wind farm to enable direct issue resolution, supervision or development of L4 technicians
  • Support service team with technical inquires from customers and local authorities
  • Attend external meetings with customers and authorities to support service team
  • Support with the preparation of technical reports for customer and service operations
  • Support the ASP ROS technical team with LPF, cost out, performance, down turbine calls
  • Develop and facilitate training of Level 4 Turbine technician team to support the service business need
  • Utilisation of the C4C/TSL ticketing system in order to efficiently respond and ensure resolution of issues raised by the service operations team
  • Acting as sub-regional contact point for ASP ROS, collating/consolidating region specific information on need basis to enable an ASP overview
  • Escalation of challenging issues to ASP ROS technical team for advanced troubleshooting support
  • Provision of ad-hoc support to validate Component Inspection Report (CIR) related to WTG in sub region. Approval of CIR’s to be completed at ASP regional ROC
  • Create / Update Draft Vestas Global Advisor (VGA) based on the troubleshooting support and submit in the portal, which will be reviewed by ASP to be available in VGA portal
  • Ensure correct SW and parameter settings for windfarms
  • Remote Software upload support for Vestas & Non-Vestas turbines
  • Create and consolidate cost out suggestions from Service operations and support the ASP ROS technical team to develop cost out projects for implementation
Qualifications
  • University degree in Engineering
  • At least 5 years of working experiences preferably in wind industry or energy sector
  • Working knowledge on various Vestas Fleet would be advantage
  • Experiences in interactions with local authorities would be advantage
  • Good Diagnostic and troubleshooting technical skills with emphasis on root cause analysis
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written English
Competencies
  • Intermediate MS Office, particularly Excel
  • Some degree of physical fitness in order to climb turbines
  • Highly developed communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to prioritize various tasks and prioritize daily work without any supervision
  • Ability to utilise all identified the tools and systems listed in the relevant skills matrix for this position
  • Ability to participate effectively as part of team
  • Ability to work in stress/time critical environment
  • Self-motivated; self-directed
