The CPC LNG Tanks project, located in Taichung Taiwan Port. The projects is 2 x 160,000m3 double dome LNG Tanks with Topsides and Piping to Grade, Breather Tank, Foundation Heating System and associated topside equipment.

Position Summary

Experience in heavy industrial construction commensurate with the type of work to be undertaken and the requirements identified below.

• Provides oversight and monitoring of Contractor Welding Program and NDE.
• Verify Subcontractor has had Bechtel MET to review and accept procedures and personnel are qualified to the procedures and to the appropriate code
• Observe & review NDE applications for RT, UT, MT, and PT against approved procedures.
• Review reports for correct interpretations.
• Observe & Review radiography set ups against project approved NDE procedures.
• Provide welding and NDE assistance to QA & Construction Manager.
• Monitor and report on site welding program.
• Verify materials, workmanship and specification/code requirements.
• Responsible for the implementation of corporate/project policies, procedures and instructions within assigned operations.
• Coordinates activities with other disciplines or areas and clients’ resident representatives, as instructed by construction management.
• Ensures that Bechtel and local/international safety codes, requirements and standards are being complied with within assigned area of responsibility.
• Ensures the Zero Accident Philosophy is incorporated into every aspect of construction operations. Actively participates in scheduled safety meetings.
• Support the creation of work environment that fosters rely, communication, teamwork and satisfaction.
• Assistance in resolution of Corrective Action Reports (CARs) and Non Conformance Reports (NCRs) issued by QA.
• Perform contractor/subcontractor surveillance reports.
