Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in mobile UI designing experiences for consumer-facing products.
  • 4 years of experience collaborating with clients and leadership, and managing projects.

Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience designing and shipping successful, large-scale digital products.
  • Experience managing complex projects involving cross-functional and cross-team stakeholder groups.
  • Experience designing with a systems thinking approach.
  • Ability to listen, be proactive at addressing feedback, and represent and advocate for UX and users.
  • Ability to be a self-starter and solve large, ambiguous problems.
  • Excellent visual design, communication and presentation skills.

About The Job

As an UX Designer on Android and Pixel Camera, you will work with Creative Leads and partner teams to build a smartphone camera experience with Google, which allows users to capture memorable, beautiful moments to capture, review, and share.

Responsibilities

  • Create designs, user flows, wireframes, mockups, and more in partnership with design leads.
  • Find ways to evolve the smartphone camera experience.
  • Understand user-centered design considerations. Iterate on designs rapidly, based on feedback from users and stakeholders.
  • Explain your design work and rationale and advocate for all types of users’ needs. Communicate design intent to design leads and engineering partners.
  • Help guide team creative strategy and manage team assignments. Develop user journeys, mockups, prototypes, storyboards, and presentations to effectively communicate design ideas.
