Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of technical program management experience.
  • Experience with chip design, and experience with architecture concepts.
  • Ability to travel internationally up to 10% of the time.

Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience working in high-tech industry with experience of direct product development, program management, project management, professional services or engineering management.
  • Experience and knowledge of chips and embedded systems used in mobile devices.
  • Experience working in the Consumer Electronics industry involving executing technical programs with external partnerships.

About The Job

As a Technical Program Manager, you’ll help keep an innovative and growing engineering team productive. You will work closely with engineers of many specialties, product managers, and internal and external partners around the world to define, design, build, test, and ship products. You’ll lead people and move requirements and dates to bring them all together into a cohesive product on time.

In this role, you will be part of the SoC Architecture team to create and drive systems and processes to reach agreement and delivery of architecture collateral. You’ll be responsible for helping identify program and technical risks and helping come up with mitigation plans, working in close collaboration with product managers, lead architects, and engineers to make good product level decisions to ensure both product excellence and timeliness as well as helping to create presentations at key project milestones/executive reviews.

Responsibilities

  • Work jointly with engineering teams to develop and manage custom silicon projects including the facilitation of communicating project status to internal stakeholders across Google.
  • Work closely with partners on product development schedules, dependencies, and budgets.
  • Identify risks, develop mitigation strategies, and facilitate conflict resolution.
  • Interface between partners and product engineering teams, setting and managing schedules and milestones.
  • Travel and meet via video to coordinate with teams in US and APAC.
