We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Supply Chain Specialist to manage and optimize the end-to-end supply chain process, focusing on communication with our APEC Headquarters in Shanghai. This role involves ordering items, forecasting new products, arranging shipments, and ensuring smooth customs processes to maintain an efficient and seamless supply chain for our Danish furniture brand, HAY.

**Responsibilities**

1. Sourcing and Procurement and New Item Forecasting:

  • Identify potential furniture and home decor products from the Danish brand HAY that align with market trends and customer preferences in Taiwan.
  • Analyze market trends and collaborate with product development teams to forecast demand for new product lines.
  • Ensure accurate forecasting and timely adjustments to production and inventory planning to meet market demands.

2. Communication and Order Placement:

  • Establish effective communication channels with HAY’s Shanghai HQ to negotiate terms, place orders, and coordinate deliveries.
  • Liaise with HAY’s representatives to ensure accurate and timely order processing, and resolve any issues related to product availability, quality, or delivery timelines.

3. Supply Chain Management:

  • Monitor shipment schedules, customs clearance, and ensure that the import process adheres to regulations and guidelines.
  • Coordinate and manage the shipment of products, including liaising with freight forwarders and logistics partners to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries.
  • Collaborate with customs and compliance teams to ensure all shipments comply with relevant regulations and documentation requirements.
  • Continuously assess and optimize the supply chain processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall supply chain performance.
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to streamline operations and enhance productivity.

4. Quality Assurance and Inventory Management:

  • Conduct regular quality checks on received HAY products to ensure they meet the defined standards and specifications.
  • Maintain accurate records, monitor stock levels, and manage product availability to meet customer demands.

**Qualifications**

1. Experience:

  • Proven experience as a supply chain specialist, preferably in the furniture or home decor industry, with a strong understanding of procurement processes and supply chain management.

2. Industry Knowledge:

  • In-depth knowledge of Danish design and familiarity with HAY’s product range, design principles, and market positioning.
  • Understanding of the furniture market in Taiwan, including consumer preferences and competitive landscape.
  • Familiarity with customs regulations and import/export procedures is an advantage.

3. Communication Skills:

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, especially in dealing with international stakeholders like HAY’s Shanghai HQ.
  • Proficient in and Mandarin and fluent in English to facilitate effective communication with HAY’s Shanghai HQ and Taiwan local partners.

4. Analytical Skills:

  • Strong analytical abilities to assess market trends, pricing strategies, and demand patterns, enabling data-driven procurement decisions.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

5. Organization and Time Management:

  • Exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize work, and meet deadlines efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
