Are you ready to help us on our mission to redefine city mobility? We’re looking for a Product Data Manager to join us in Taipei and help redefine and coordinate our part number and BOM structure for our products. You’ll work closely with our Engineering, Project Management, Procurement team, Sourcing team, and Regional Operations/Repair team to provide the numbering structure that overlays all of our product and parts.

As a Product Data Manager, you’ll be responsible for redefining a part number and Bill of Materials (BOM) structure by consulting with all the relevant stakeholders about how it could be implemented. This will not only include PN on the finish product’s BOM, but also spare parts, accessories, and services. We’ll expect you to lead the setup discussion and manage pro/cons between departments to figure out the ideal setup for our system.

Our ideal candidate is an experienced project coordinator and an influential team player. You’ll have excellent communication skills and are able to confidently push forward resolutions across teams at VanMoof.

What you’ll do:
  • You’ll work with Program Managers, Purchasing, Engineering, and Manufacturing teams to make sure that the BOM has the correct structure, accuracy, and completeness in the PLM system.
  • You’ll set up new options and/or create rules in PLM system to support various build configurations with correct BOM content at program milestones.
  • You’ll engage with our Engineering, Sourcing and Procurement, Manufacturing, and Finance teams to resolve BOM-related issues.
  • You’ll coordinate with the Sourcing and Procurement team on cost maintenance and MRP data flow.
  • You’ll develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and workflows on how to create PN, BOMs, and issue E/C within the PLM system.
  • You’ll help define the process flow on PN and BOM creation.
  • You’ll help integrate PLM with other ERP/MRP systems.
  • You’ll develop and maintain access control groups(read/write/edit/etc) on the PLM system.
  • You’ll be the overall owner on all product-related data definition.
  • You’ll collaborate with regional Repair teams on PN requirements regarding tools, components, and assemblies.
What you’ll bring:
  • A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • You have at least five years of experience with PLM tools and ERP processes.
  • You have at least five years of experience with Bill of Materials setup.
  • You have experience in the automotive and consumer electronics industry, with a focus on PLM tools and processes.
  • You have database/system integration experience.
  • You have technical knowledge of product structure and processes.
  • You have proven experience managing complex stakeholder requirements and production program launch.
  • You have strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build relationships with people in different roles and across different levels of VanMoof.
  • You have experience in products with SKU complexity, frequent E/C, and hundreds of spare parts at different repair locations.
  • You can continuously adapt and prioritize within a constantly changing environment and business requirements.
  • You have expert-level Excel skills, especially related to data analysis and complex formulas.
  • You have excellent English language skills that mean you can clearly communicate any new processes to all relevant stakeholders.
