MaxLinear is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join our Power Platforms team working closely with our hardware engineering team for validation, characterization and support of new products. In this role, you will focus on the following
  • Develop internal software tools for automation testing and validation
  • Build automated test scripts for product validation and performance analysis
  • Execute bench tests and analysis on power products
  • Work closely with platform hardware engineers to validate and characterize power products
  • Operate and setup bench-top test systems for semiconductor testing
  • Develop GUIs and external software tools for use by our customers
  • Programming techniques and concepts in Python
  • Scripting concepts for automation testing
  • Familiar with I2C, GPIO, PMBUS, SPI protocols
  • Basic understanding of hardware and power concepts including analog, digital, and circuit theory
  • Understanding setup of test equipment including oscilloscopes, DMM, power supplies, multimeter
  • Strong organizational, project management, and execution skills and a demonstrated ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Fluent in English with excellent oral and written communications skills
  • BS in Electrical Engineering or related field + 6 years of experience, or MS + 3 years of experience, or Ph.D.
