What We Offer

Major tasks and responsibilities of position:

• In charge of R&D technical lab in Taiwan, but also understand labs scope at APAC level with difference sites (China, India, and Japan).
• Generate the technical relevant data for new product promoting to markets (e.g. TDS or additional technical information), especially focus on parameter setting in TDS, product characterization, specification drafting.
• Responsibility for APAC R&D technical and safety meeting with colleagues locating in China and India inclduing the meeting hoster in English.
• In charge of instruments SOP optimization and reliability of lab instruments (e.g. audit of machine calibration).
• Contact window of BD/AD to come out the information of new materials properties more closing to customers (e.g. CTQ data), but also support QC and production to analysis or assist for the customer complaint.
• Manage R&D trial pilot line to confirm raw materials and equipment settlement with Production & Technical team in advance.
• Capable of managing multiple tasks, working effectively with more than one technical supervisor, interfacing with other functions such as manufacturing and research personnel, interfacing directly with customers if needed, and providing timely results to assure the quality of products shipped to customers.
  
  

Value added to the success of the company:

Generate and/or evaluate samples in the laboratory according to instructions to support development, product quality control, and process research & development programs underunder the supervision of the Head of RD TPU APAC.

• Manage material analysis works from technical part to different regions of APAC, ont only in YUP Taiwan. For example, analysis trial materials which done in COVSZ (China) or CUD (India) plant.
• Establish network of lab teachnial disucssion with expert locating in DOR and DCP.
• Capable person who is easy to catch up machinery more in detail acting as an expert or consultant for specific test.
• Ability to multi-task while working independently with occasional supervision.
• Ability to analyze, review and summarize data in an effective manner.

Qualifications: Education, skills, experiences and personal characteristics necessary for success in this position:

• Master degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering or Material Science with excellence working experience in plastic related field preferred.
• Knowledge of common laboratory procedures and skill and mechanical aptitude in handling laboratory equipment as well as modifying/adapting laboratory equipment for specific development programs.
• Special internal on-the-job training.
• Knowledge of classical and modern synthetic methods, modern tools in chemical research.
• Good technical and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to maintain a safe work environment and follow safe work practices (e.g. with chemicals, and machinery parts).
• Preferably more than 5 years of working experience in plastic field and well skill of machine operation more preferred.
• Good presentation skills, in written and spoken English.
