KLA is a global leader in process control and is now looking for an HR compensation & benefits specialist in Taiwan!

The Compensation and Benefits Specialist will be responsible for developing and administering assigned Total Rewards programs including but not limited to performance management, legal compliance, compensation programs, policy establishment and market analysis.

In this position, you will have the opportunity to work with global and regional teams to roll out key projects including total rewards programs, recognition programs, people strategies to help grow and attract the extraordinary talent it takes to create extraordinary products and services at KLA.

Job Description

Total Rewards Administration

  • Works closely with HQ Compensation team; reviews and updates existing benefit and compensation-related policies and ensure these comply with current legislation.
  • Administers assigned Total Rewards programs, including but not limited to, analysis, special projects, and plan/program development
  • Partners with other HR teams and departments to develop, maintain, and generate requested reports
  • Provides counsel to employees and leaders related to assigned Total Reward programs, Performance review programs.
  • Responsible for developing, communicating, and executing communication plans for assigned programs.
  • Assesses jobs and their respective duties to determine classification as exempt or nonexempt and appropriate salary range.
  • Benchmarks jobs against survey data and other market intelligence to determine competitive compensation ranges for each position.

HRIS and HR Analytics

  • Conducts HRIS audit (payroll, time/absence system, employee data) and quality assurance to ensure data integrity and accuracy
  • Prepares and presents summary reports of job analysis and compensation analysis information.
  • Conducts, analyzes, and benchmarks annual total rewards review processes and survey.
  • Gathers data from market-based compensation surveys; uses spreadsheet and data analysis techniques to assess results and market trends.

Legal Compliance

  • Work with agency on annual employee income tax filing including international assignee and employee payroll audit.
  • Prepares annual employee census data for pension actuary service.
  • Analyzes and modifies HR policies to ensure compliance with legal requirements.
  • Advise managers on labor and employment policy matters and recommend needed changes.
  • Helps internal or external auditors in compliance reviews.
  • Maintains documentation of compliance activities.

Key Qualifications

  • Data-driven analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to understand and market trends and develop recommendations for action based on the analysis.
  • Comprehensive and practical knowledge in the Labor Standard Acts and Immigration-related regulations about global mobility and ability to provide recommendations and guidance.
  • Effective communication skills in writing and verbally both in English and Mandarin.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Workday, Peoplesoft systems, HRIS and analytics software including Power BI.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in salary structure and development, benefits and compensation, and surveys/benchmarking (Radford, WTW GGS and/or Mercer IPE).
  • Comfortable and flexible with pressure, tight deadlines, constraints, ambiguity and being a part of deeply complex strategy discussions.
  • Working knowledge in merge and acquisition execution and cultural integration is a plus.
