At Cadence, we hire and develop leaders and innovators who want to make an impact on the world of technology.Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities include:Contributes in a major way to the development of strategic Software Engineering objectives and activitiesUses sophisticated analytical thought to exercise judgment and identify innovative solutionsDevelops advanced software based on customer requirementsAnalyzes design and determines coding and integration activities required based on general objectives and knowledge of overall architecture of product or solutionExpected to solve difficult product issuesLeads multiple highly-complex projects of diverse scope where analysis requires an understanding of current business trendsLeads others to solve issues of diverse scope; Leads a medium sized project team of other software engineers to develop high quality solutions for customersCommunicates complex concepts and interacts with others to inform and direct actionApplies in-depth expertise in discipline and broad knowledge of other closely related areas to improve efficiency of teamRequirementsHave EDA Algorithmic depth with Solid proficiency in relevant technologies and programming languages (including but not limited to C, C++)PhD, Masters or Bachelors in EECS or Computer Science and/or Math + several years of related experienceBackground In EDA Algorithmic Knowledge To IncludeExperience in parallel programming and distributed computingExpertise in algorithms for EDA including but not limited to: Graph algorithms for physical design, Computational geometry algorithms for CAD, Partitioning and Placement algorithms, Experience in Routing algorithmsExperience in working on DRC, Parasitic Extraction is a plusExperience with Group Theory, Applied Graph Theory, Network Flows is a plusWe’re doing work that matters.
